Refined

In Typical Fashion

If a consumer is a customer, then the customer isn’t always right.  What you choose to buy should be a reflection of you as an individual.  Unfortunately & all too often, people buy things unconsciously.  When you consume in this manner, you are wasting valuable resources such as time, labour & money.  Best advice I can share: know yourself & trust your taste - do not feel pressured, there is nobody forcing you to buy anything but yourself.  Take the time to educate yourself on what you plan to buy - you will feel more confident with your purchase, which will increase its use-value.  Most importantly, buy within moderation - remember, it’s never about quantity, it’s only about quality.  Use this knowledge grasshopper because with it you will be one step closer to refinement

A Visual History

Notice how much history we have destroyed over the past 100 years.  Do we even know where we came from anymore or what we stand for as Torontonians?  Rather than destroying & building anew, we must learn how to appreciate the past for everything it has bestowed upon us.  To be clear, there is a significant difference between refining and re-defining.  Refining makes better through incremental change whereas re-defining makes better by exploiting change in the name of what is new.  If we believed in refining, we would possess a greater understanding of what is necessary, which ultimately shapes who we are & where we are headed.  Click on ‘A Visual History’ to access the short article courtesy of BlogTO

Welcome

“Refined” is used of persons and their behaviours; at its core, it means to be free from impurities.  ”Refined” is about staying true to your roots, morals and values.  ”Refined” is for individuals who have an insatiable desire to improve themselves for the sake of their own development, while inspiring others to do the same.  ”Refined” is dedicated to those who are masters of their own destiny.  With good feelings and in good taste, welcome to the beginning of something special
